I had a half day at work today, came home, cleaned, and then got ready for today's festivities. I won't waste your time with boring words. Here are the awesome pictures of our tour of the Guinness Storehouse:
| If it's got a gate like that, you know it's gonna be good. |
| We learned the secret recipe to make your very own Guinness. Step 1: Get a ton of barley! |
| Step 2: Add some hops! |
Step 3 (not pictured): Pour on some yeast!
Step 4: Douse it in water! |
| You're gonna need a lot of water! |
| Your also gonna need... this stuff! |
| "Centuries ago, many people were convinced that, somehow, lead could be transformed into gold. In a way, Arthur Guinness was such a man. But where others failed, he succeeded." NICE. |
| These also have something to do with beer... like army beer maybe? |
| Gotta have boats. |
| And where there are boats, there are boat wheels. |
| Horses! At this point I wasn't really sure what any of this had to do with beer, but I was loving it! |
| Big ole boiler. So gangster. |
| Barrels full of happiness. |
It's like Popeye, but with beer!
Also, that's my "Aw swell!" face, in case you couldn't tell. |
| THIS GUY. |
| Pretty low, as it turns out. |
| Everything is backwards in this city! |
| The Gravity Bar, at the top of the Storehouse. |
| You have to be patient! |
| So very, very Irish. |
| Our reward for maneuvering our way through the museum! |
| The crew, with Megan's friend Alli. She flew in this morning! |
| All of Ireland fits into one picture from up here. |
| Our first "sunny" day in Dublin. |
| It was a good day. |
So awesome!!
